Family

This month has mostly been about my family, I have been drawing from old photographs I found.
I made this for my mother's birthday:
And my nan has asked me to draw some images for a short story she wrote, about her old pet goose Diddle.
Also, the text in the first image, is a font that was created from my handwriting by a friend Vicky Webb: http://crumpetsandcrabsticks.tumblr.com/

Dear Grace...

A recent exhibition with friend and fellow artist Rose Hawker (poster below) has inspired me to work on a new project which revolves around images and text taken from old postcards.
When finished, I might attempt to piece it together in the form of a book, or knowing my history of making books, they are more likely to be turned in to a set of postcards.

Phenomenal Cat

A long, long time ago,
In the land of idiot boys,
There live a cat, a phenomenal cat,
Who loved to wallow all day.

No one bothered him
As he sat, content in his tree.
He just lived to eat ’cause it kept him fat,
And that’s how he wanted to stay.
